Masterson's four-goal barrage came entirely in the first half, helping California United take control early. Fabian Cabrera added a goal in the first half, with Masterson assisting on the play. Andres Martinez also found the back of the net to complete the scoring for California United, as they held off Oxnard FC's efforts to close the gap.

With this win, California United FC improves to a 5-1-0 record, sitting in first place in the Division 2 North standings at the midpoint of the season.
